You will need to put the impeller shaft into a vice. You remove the cone on the back of the pump for access to the shaft. To do this, on some models you will need a 10mm hex wrench, on some models the end of the shaft is square.

Once the impeller shaft is held, you insert an impeller tool into the impeller, and turn it (using a 17mm socket and a 6 foot
breaker bar). (SEADOO IS NORMALLY STANDARD THREAD -RIGHTY TIGHTY)

When used right, these tools make removing the impeller an easy job.

YOU MUST use a long breaker bar. This is not due to the amount of energy you need, but the quality – smooth even pressure – provided by the long breaker bar.
